Given:

• 2 bags of spices = 15 copper ingots
• 12 bags of spices = ? copper ingots

Method:

Number of times 2 bags are contained in 12 bags:

12 ÷ 2 = 6

Therefore, the merchant will receive:

15 × 6 = 90

Answer: The merchant will leave with 90 copper ingots.
