EXAMPLE 2 Find the measure of an angle which is 32° less than its supplement.

 Solution :- Let the measure of the required angle be x°. 

Then, measure of its supplement = (180-x). 

∴ (180-x)-x=32

⇒2x=148

⇒ x=74.

Hence, the measure of the required angle is 74°.
